Extremely cheesy Halloween
These bat biscuits are super cheesy and great for a snack, they are a little crunchy so probably best for a little one who can manage crunchy/crumbly biscuits. These are pretty much like cheddar biscuits on overdrive! I used a bat cutter to make them Halloween-esq, but you can use a standard cookie cutter around 5cm in diameter (my bat cutter is around 3cm wide and 8cm long). They are really easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. They last around 5 days in an air tight container.
Makes around 20-25 biscuits
Ingredients
190g grated cheddar
50g unsalted butter
100g plain flour
1 egg beaten
Method
1. Place all ingredients aside from egg in a blender and blend until breadcrumb consistency.
2. Mix in the egg by hand and slowly work the mixture into a dough ball.
3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to around 3mm thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out your biscuits and place these on a baking sheet. Once you have cut one round of biscuits gather your dough and roll out one more time for a few more biscuits.
4. Cook for 15-18 minutes in a preheated 180C fan oven. Allow them to cool for around 5 minutes before moving to wire rack to finish cooling.
